Now you need to get from Bari Palese Airport to the New Ferry Terminal

There are three main ways to get from Bari Palese airport to the New Ferry Terminal. One is by direct journey by taxi, make sure you request the NEW terminal. The other two ways are by bus into Bari town and then another bus from the town to the ferry terminal. The buses from the airport are:

Public Bus (AMTAB) No.16: From 05.00 to 23.00 every 40 minutes. Duration of journey 40 minutes. Price € 0.77. Arrives at Piazza Aldo Moro. 

Private Shuttle (BUS TEMPESTA): From 06:00 to 23:00 every 30 minutes. Duration of journey 30 minutes. Price €4.15. Arrives at Piazza Aldo Moro (central railway station).

From Piazza Aldo Moro where the buses from the airport arrive you can catch the following bus which goes to the ferry terminal.

Ferry Companies

Now you need to decide on which ferry you would like. www.ferries.gr is an excellent site which has ALL the ferry companies listed. You can see the different types of ships and the facilities they have. They are like mini cruise ships and prices will range from the lowest (sleeping on the floor inside or the deck outside) to medium (sleeping on a pre-booked aircraft seat) or more expensive (cabin). You can book several different grades of cabins according to your preference (and pocket!). It is worth noting that in Low Season if you are prepared to take the risk and wait until you are actually on the ferry to book a cabin then you will get one much cheaper than if you pre-book. When I book my ferries I always use www.ferries.gr .  They are excellent, have often found me a cabin at short notice (when other companies have said there are none!), and it’s so easy. You can pay by credit/debit card. They will email you an electronic booking number. You then present this number to the ticket office in Bari and the tickets are issued. If you are more comfortable with using an English booking agent then Viamare Travel Ltd www.viamare.com are agents for all Greek Ferries. I have listed below the timetables for the ferry company that does the Bari – Corfu/Igoumenitsa – Bari route. Please note, these timetables have been reduced to show ONLY the ferries that travel to and from Corfu/Igoumenitsa. There are other ferry departures from Bari to Mainland Greece but these may not stop at Corfu/Igoumenitsa. Please remember to check the FULL timetables shown to see if the ferries travel to/from Igoumenitsa or Corfu.
